Oxygen-dependent K+ influxes in Mg2+-clamped equine red blood cells. 1. [Salinomycin poisoning in a Polish stud horse]. 24 cases of salinomycin poisoning in horses occurring recently in Silesia are discussed. All of these horses, used for riding-purposes, were fed with concentrate containing 61 mg/kg salinomycin as faulty prepared by the manufacturer. Equine babesiosis associated with strenuous exercise: clinical and pathological studies in Jordan. Clinical, haematological and pathological studies were undertaken in Jordan in a stud of 103 racing horses clinically suffering from babesiosis and apparently healthy animals. The hemoglobin polymorphism of the Sardinian wild dwarf horse and the oxygen binding properties of the four different horse hemoglobins. A study was made of the Hb phenotype of the Sardinian dwarfhorse (Equus caballus jara), one of the last surviving wild horse species in Europe.
