[Fat and content of yakutan horse fat tissue].
Abstract: The gas chromatography method the fat acid content of the young Yakut horse meat fat tissue lipids was studied in relation to the age group, various parts of the body and anatomic topographic location of the fat/It was determined that the of sixth-month young horse is the source of the PUFA omega-3 that allows to recommend horse meat as a dietary product for atherosclerosis prevention. By medial chain fat content the lipids of the 6 month young horses are close to the lipids of milk fat.

The research paper presents a study on the fatty acid content of the young Yakut horse meat’s lipid tissue in relation to age, body location, and topographic fat location. The study found that six-month-old horse meat is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) Omega-3, making it a recommendable dietary product for preventing atherosclerosis.
Gas Chromatography Method and Study Subject
- This research made use of the gas chromatography method to study lipids in young Yakut horse meat fat tissue. The Yakut horse, a native breed in Siberia, is known for its cold-resistance and endurance.
- Using this method, the researchers analyzed the fatty acid content of the horse meat, paying particular attention to the horse’s age, the part of the body the meat was obtained from, and the anatomical and topographic location of the fat on the horse’s body.
Main Research Findings
- The researchers discovered that the meat of six-month-old horses is a good source of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) Omega-3. Omega-3 is known for its numerous health benefits, such as reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease.
- This discovery led the researchers to recommend this type of meat as a dietary product for the prevention of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a disease where plaque develops inside the arteries, which can lead to heart disease or stroke. Foods rich in Omega-3, like the young Yakut horse meat, can help prevent this disease, reinforcing the dietary value of this meat.
Comparison with Milk Fat Lipids
- Furthermore, the study found that the lipids present in the fat tissue of the examined six-month-old horses are similar in terms of medium chain fat content to the lipids found in milk fat.
- This similarity suggests that the meat from these horses could also have properties related to the benefits of milk fat, which is known for promoting weight loss and boosting immunity.
Conclusion
- The study concluded that the young Yakut horse meat, particularly from six-month-old horses, contains high levels of beneficial PUFA Omega-3.
- The research results can significantly impact dietary recommendations for individuals prone to developing atherosclerosis and other related diseases. Furthermore, the results establish a potential correlation between the beneficial properties of milk fats and the fatty acid content of the Yakut horse fat tissue.
