Heterobilharzia americana infection in a Grant’s zebra (Equus burchelli boehmi). Heterobilharzia americana is a trematode parasite (family: Schistosomatidae) of mammalian wildlife that occasionally infects domestic dogs and horses in the southeastern United States. A Rare Case of Vascular Proliferation in the Mandible of a Juvenile Horse. A fast growing, circumscribed, unilateral swelling of the right mandible of a juvenile horse was observed.
