Fourteen horses with 23 sarcoids were treated in the period 2000-2001. Complete regression was seen in 78% of the tumours. No systemic side-effects were encountered. Although treatment was easy to perform, the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle should be followed when using cytostatics.
