Hepatic encephalopathy in a pregnant mare: identification of histopathological changes in the brain of a mare and fetus. An 11-year-old Thoroughbred broodmare was evaluated for suspected hepatic dysfunction. Clinical signs of hepatic encephalopathy were evident at admission.
