Acacia Extract - Feed Ingredient
Acacia extract is derived from the hardened sap, or gum, of various species of Acacia trees. The purified form is known as gum arabic. It is composed primarily of complex polysaccharides and glycoproteins.
In equine and other animal feed applications, acacia extract functions primarily as a binder, emulsifier, and stabilizer. It is used to improve the texture and cohesion of pelleted feeds or to stabilize emulsions in liquid supplements.
