Adenosine 5’ Monophosphate - Feed Ingredient
Adenosine 5’ Monophosphate (AMP) is a nucleotide composed of the molecule adenosine bonded to a single phosphate group. It is an intermediate in cellular energy metabolism and a building block of RNA. AMP plays a critical role in various biochemical processes, including the regulation of enzyme activity and energy transfer within cells.
In feed or supplement formulations, AMP is not commonly used as a standalone ingredient in equine nutrition. However, it may be included in specialized formulations or research contexts for its potential involvement in metabolic regulation or as a precursor to other biologically active molecules such as ADP and ATP.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Adenosine 5’ Monophosphate as an ingredient.
