Chard - Feed Ingredient

Chard, also known as Swiss chard, is a leafy green vegetable related to beets. It is sometimes used in equine nutrition as a forage or forage supplement, or as a source of trace nutrients.

As with other leafy greens, chard contains oxalates, which can interfere with calcium absorption if fed in excess. It should be used in moderation.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Chard as an ingredient.
