Chrysin - Feed Ingredient

Chrysin is a naturally occurring flavonoid chemically classified as a flavone. It is found in various plant sources, including passionflower (Passiflora caerulea), honey, and propolis. In its pure form, chrysin appears as a yellow crystalline powder and is often used in nutraceutical formulations.

In equine feed and supplements, chrysin may be included for its antioxidant properties. Flavonoids like chrysin are known to scavenge free radicals and may contribute to the overall antioxidant capacity of the diet. While its exact effects in horses are not well-documented, it is occasionally used in specialized supplements aimed at supporting oxidative balance.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Chrysin as an ingredient.
