Concentrated Separator By-Product - Feed Ingredient
Concentrated Separator By-Product, commonly abbreviated as CSB, is a secondary molasses product derived from sugar beet processing. It is produced during the separation of sugars from standard sugar beet molasses, a step typically employed in advanced sugar extraction or desugarization processes.
CSB retains many of the original molasses components, such as organic acids, minerals, non-sugar carbohydrates, and soluble fiber, but has a reduced sugar content compared to conventional sugar beet molasses. This makes CSB less energy-dense but still valuable for its palatability and functional properties in feed.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Concentrated Separator By-Product as an ingredient.
Feeds, Supplements & Products
Smart Beet Pellets (Standlee)
Smart Beet Pellets are high-density pellets made from dried sugar beet pulp after the sugar has been removed. Beet pulp is a high-fibre, low-protein source of caloric energy.
Smart Beet Shreds (Standlee)
Standlee Smart Beet Shreds are made from flaked, dried sugar beet pulp. The pulp is what remains following the extraction of sugar from sugar beets. Beet pulp shreds are low in sugar, high in fermentable fiber and provide added energy in a horse's diet.
