Dried Trichoderma longibrachiatum fermentation product is a feed ingredient derived from the controlled fermentation of the fungus Trichoderma longibrachiatum, followed by drying. This fermentation product includes fungal biomass, fermentation metabolites, and/or the growth media. It is classified as a functional or feed additive ingredient and is used in various livestock and equine feed formulations.

In equine nutrition, this ingredient is typically included for its enzymatic activity, particularly its ability to produce fiber-degrading enzymes such as cellulases and hemicellulases. These enzymes may assist in breaking down plant cell wall components, potentially enhancing fiber digestibility and nutrient availability in the hindgut. Unlike live yeast or bacterial probiotics, this fungal product does not introduce viable organisms but functions through its fermentation byproducts.
