Dried Whey Product is derived from the liquid portion remaining after milk is curdled during cheese production. The liquid is pasteurized, concentrated, and spray-dried into a consistent powder. It contains lactose, high-quality proteins, and minerals naturally present in milk.
In equine nutrition, Dried Whey Product is used as a supplemental protein source and to enhance feed palatability. Its highly digestible proteins help contribute essential amino acids, while the lactose provides a source of readily fermentable carbohydrates.
