Egg Yolk Powder - Feed Ingredient

Egg yolk powder is a dehydrated form of the yolk portion of chicken eggs, produced by spray-drying liquid egg yolk. It retains much of the nutritional profile of fresh yolk, including fats, proteins (notably phospholipids), cholesterol, lecithin, and fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, and K.

In equine feeds and supplements, egg yolk powder may be used as a source of high-quality protein and bioavailable lipids. It is sometimes included for its emulsifying properties or to enhance palatability and nutrient density in specialized formulations.
