Emblica officinalis, also known as Indian gooseberry or amla, is a fruit-bearing tree native to India and Southeast Asia. It is one of the three fruits included in Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic formulation composed of Emblica officinalis, Terminalia bellirica, and Terminalia chebula. The powder is made by drying and grinding the fruits of the three component plants.

Emblica officinalis is rich in vitamin C, polyphenols, and tannins. As part of Triphala powder, it is used for its antioxidant properties and potential to support digestive and metabolic function.
