Expelled Soybean Oil - Feed Ingredient
Expelled Soybean Oil, also known as expeller pressed soybean oil, is produced by mechanically pressing soybeans to extract the oil without the use of chemical solvents. In this method, cleaned and dehulled soybeans are conditioned and then subjected to mechanical pressure that forces the oil out of the seeds. The oil is subsequently refined to remove particulate matter, yielding a product with a consistent fatty acid profile, typically rich in unsaturated fats such as linoleic and oleic acids.
In equine nutrition, Expelled Soybean Oil is used as a concentrated energy source and to contribute essential fatty acids to the diet. Its predictable composition makes it a reliable ingredient for adjusting the lipid content in feed formulations. The inclusion of this oil is designed to support a balanced energy profile in horse diets by providing a controlled amount of fat.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Expelled Soybean Oil as an ingredient.
