Glycerine - Feed Ingredient

Glycerine, also known as glycerol, is a colorless, odorless, and sweet-tasting liquid that is commonly used as a feed ingredient in equine diets. Glycerine is a non-structural carbohydrate that is metabolized differently from starches and sugars, making it a option for horses with insulin dysregulation.

In horse feeds, glycerine is used as a palatability enhancer, a binder for pelleted feeds, and a source of readily available energy. It is often included in commercial feed formulations, particularly in low-starch diets, to provide an alternative energy source without contributing to rapid blood sugar spikes.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Glycerine as an ingredient.
