Indole 3 Carbinole - Feed Ingredient

Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) is a naturally occurring compound produced by the breakdown of glucobrassicin, a glucosinolate found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. It is formed during the chopping or digestion of these vegetables and is often studied for its role in hormone metabolism and detoxification pathways in other species.

There is no robust research evaluating its safety, efficacy, or specific metabolic effects in horses.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Indole 3 Carbinole as an ingredient.
