Magnesium Malate - Feed Ingredient

Magnesium malate is a compound consisting of magnesium and malic acid, a naturally occurring organic acid found in many fruits, especially apples. It is used in equine nutrition as a supplemental source of magnesium, an essential macro-mineral involved in muscle function, nerve transmission, and energy metabolism.

Malic acid, part of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, may enhance the bioavailability of magnesium when bound in this form.
