Micronized Lupins - Feed Ingredient

Micronized lupins are whole lupin seeds that have undergone a heat-based processing method known as micronization. This technique uses infrared heat to rupture the seed’s cell walls and reduce anti-nutritional factors such as alkaloids and trypsin inhibitors, improving palatability and digestibility.

Lupins, commonly from Lupinus albus or Lupinus angustifolius, are legume seeds naturally high in protein, energy, and dietary fiber. They contain low levels of starch and are considered a suitable energy and protein source for horses, especially for those that require low-starch diets.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Micronized Lupins as an ingredient.
