Sodium Sulfite - Feed Ingredient
Sodium Sulfite is an inorganic salt with the chemical formula Na₂SO₃. It is primarily used in food and feed applications as a preservative and antioxidant. In equine feed manufacturing, it may be included in small amounts to prevent oxidative spoilage, inhibit microbial growth, or preserve color and stability in certain ingredients.
As a feed additive, sodium sulfite functions as a processing aid rather than a nutritional ingredient.
