Fetal rhabdomyoma in a Thoroughbred filly. A newborn Thoroughbred filly presented with a large mass located on the ventro-rostral aspect of the mandible. The mass was surgically removed under general anaesthesia. Upon gross examination, the mass was well circumscribed with a heterogeneous lobulated appearance. The results of histopathology and immunohistochemistry were consistent with a diagnosis of congenital fetal rhabdomyoma. On follow-up at six months post-surgical excision, no abnormalities were noted on clinical examination.

Long-term follow-up of laryngeal Rhinosporidium seeberi diagnosed by PCR and treated with laser ablation and voriconazole nebulization in a retired thoroughbred polo horse. A 21-year-old retired polo Argentinian thoroughbred horse from a teaching herd was presented for a routine bronchoalveolar lavage demonstration, during which an incidental finding of a granulomatous mass on the dorsal aspect of the epiglottis was made. Computed tomographic angiography of a presumed acquired transhepatic portosystemic shunt in a miniature horse filly. A 1-year-old Miniature Horse filly was presented for chronic lethargy and hyporexia. Elevated liver enzymes, bile acids, and ammonia were noted on bloodwork. Fatal West Nile Virus Infection in Horse Returning to United Kingdom from Spain, 2022. We report fatal West Nile virus (WNV) infection in a 7-year-old mare returning to the United Kingdom from Spain. Case timeline and clustering of virus sequence with recent WNV isolates suggest that transmission occurred in Andalusía, Spain.
