Pulmonary angiocentric lymphoma (lymphomatoid granulomatosis) in a donkey. A 36-year-old donkey developed dyspnoea, pyrexia, hypoalbuminaemia and oedema. Oil Red O-positive lipid in peritoneal fluid from a horse with a rectal tear. A 4-year-old Quarter Horse mare was presented to the Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for evaluation of a rectal tear. Therapy resistant septic enteritis due to a jejunal malformation in a 5-day-old Thoroughbred colt. A 5-day-old Thoroughbred colt was presented with profuse watery diarrhea, hypovolemic shock, and a patent urachus. Actinobacillus suis-like organisms (ASLOs) have been isolated from the genital, respiratory, and digestive tracts of healthy adult horses, horses with respiratory disease, and septic foals. Gas-Filled Intradural Cyst within the Cauda Equine. A case of radicular pain that resulted from a gas-filled intradural cyst in an 80-year-old male is described. Temporary improvement of radicular pain was observed after CT-guided aspiration. However, recurrent radicular pain led to surgical treatment. In this report, the authors document the radiologic and intraoperative features of a gas-filled intradural cyst that migrated into the nerve root, and propose an optimal treatment plan based on a review of the literature.
Reaction to intraarterial ionic iodinated contrast medium administration in anesthetized horses. The purpose of this report was to evaluate the frequency and type of reactions to intraarterial iodinated contrast medium injection in horses. Ninety-seven received an intraarterial injection of ionic, iodinated contrast medium for computed tomographic assessment of the distal limb.
