Pharmacokinetics of sulfonamides and trimethoprim in the donkey (Equus asinus). The body disposition of sulfadimidine (SDM), sulfadiazine (SDZ), sulfamethoxypyridazine (SMPZ) and a trimethoprim-sulfadimethoxine combination (TMP-SDMX) was investigated in the donkey. Comparative molecular characterization of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis of different origin. Ribotyping and susceptibility to 17 antimicrobial agents were used to compare 37 isolates of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis (28 from horses, 1 from cattle, 3 from sheep and 5 from goats) derived from various types of lesions, and different geographic locations. Equine infectious anemia virus is found in tissue macrophages during subclinical infection. The equine infectious anemia virus (EIAV) often results in lifelong subclinical infection following early episodes of clinical disease. Characterization of a O-fatty-acylated sulfatide from equine brain. A sulfatide, O-fatty-acylated 3-sulfogalactosylceramide at C6-O on galactoside, was isolated from equine brain and the chemical structure was characterized by proton NMR and MS. Histological study of the innervation of the suspensory ligament of the forelimb of the horse. The innervation pattern of the interosseus muscle of the forelimb was studied in two ponies and two horses. The nerves of the suspensory ligament were studied histologically after neurectomy of the ulnar and median nerve branches proximal to the carpal joint.
