Bioflavonoids - Feed Ingredient
Bioflavonoids, also referred to as flavonoids,, are a class of polyphenolic compounds naturally occurring in plants. They are commonly extracted from citrus fruits, berries, tea, and various herbs. In equine feeds and supplements, bioflavonoids are included for their antioxidant and biological activity. However, their efficacy and functional roles in equine nutrition are still subject to ongoing research.
Bioflavonoids used in feed ingredients may be derived through processes such as solvent extraction or purification from plant-based raw materials. These processes concentrate the active compounds while removing extraneous plant matter.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Bioflavonoids as an ingredient.
