Calcified Red Seaweed, also known as Coralline algae or Corallina officinalis, is a marine plant species belonging to the family Corallinaceae. It is characterized by its vibrant red color and calcified structure, which gives the seaweed a hard texture similar to coral.
The calcification process of this seaweed results in a high concentration of calcium carbonate (limestone) within its structure. This makes calcified seaweeds or algae a bioavailable source of calcium and other minerals.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Calcified Red Seaweed as an ingredient.
