Camelina Sativa Seed Oil - Feed Ingredient
Camelina sativa Seed Oil, also known as false flax oil or gold-of-pleasure oil, is a cold-pressed oil extracted from the seeds of Camelina sativa, a member of the Brassicaceae family. The oil is notable for its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), as well as omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids.
In equine nutrition, camelina oil is used as a dietary fat source to increase caloric density and contribute essential fatty acids.
