Diglycerides - Feed Ingredient
Diglycerides, also known as diacylglycerols, are lipid molecules composed of a glycerol backbone bonded to two fatty acid chains.
In equine feed and supplement manufacturing, diglycerides are primarily utilized as emulsifiers, aiding in the uniform dispersion of fat-soluble components in liquid or semi-solid formulations. They may also serve as carriers or stabilizers for certain fat-based nutrients such as vitamins A, D, and E. Though they contribute some energy due to their lipid nature, their role is largely functional rather than nutritional.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Diglycerides as an ingredient.
