Dried Tomato Pomace - Feed Ingredient

Dried tomato pomace is the byproduct remaining after tomatoes are processed for juice, paste, or sauce production. It consists primarily of tomato skins, seeds, and residual pulp. Once dried, it becomes a shelf-stable feed ingredient with moderate nutrient content.

In equine nutrition, dried tomato pomace may be used as a supplemental fiber and energy source. It contains digestible fiber, some protein, and small amounts of fat, along with naturally occurring antioxidants such as lycopene and beta-carotene.
