Egg Membrane - Feed Ingredient
Egg Membrane is a natural ingredient derived from the thin, fibrous layer located between the eggshell and the egg white of poultry eggs. This membrane is carefully separated and processed—typically through drying and milling—to preserve its rich composition of bioactive compounds. It contains naturally occurring collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), and other proteins and peptides associated with connective tissue health.
In equine nutrition, Egg Membrane is used as a functional supplement to support joint, tendon, and ligament health. Its unique combination of structural proteins and GAGs may help promote cartilage integrity, reduce inflammation, and improve joint mobility.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Egg Membrane as an ingredient.
