Feverfew - Feed Ingredient

Feverfew, scientifically known as Tanacetum parthenium, is a flowering plant in the daisy family, native to Eurasia. It has a long history of use in traditional herbal medicine, particularly for its purported anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

The active compounds in feverfew include sesquiterpene lactones, most notably parthenolide, as well as flavonoids and volatile oils. These are primarily concentrated in the leaves, which are used either fresh or dried in supplement formulations.

In equine nutrition, feverfew may be included in some herbal blends, primarily aimed at managing comfort or supporting general wellness.

The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Feverfew as an ingredient.
