Hemp Seed Oil - Feed Ingredient
Hemp Seed Oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. It is a non-psychoactive oil that contains negligible levels of THC and is valued for its nutritional composition, particularly its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The oil has a greenish color and a mild, nutty flavor.
In equine nutrition, hemp seed oil is primarily used as a source of dietary fat and essential fatty acids, including linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3).
