Magnesium Citrate - Feed Ingredient

Magnesium citrate is a compound formed by combining magnesium with citric acid, resulting in a highly soluble and bioavailable form of magnesium. It appears as a white, crystalline powder and is used in both human and animal nutrition as a source of supplemental magnesium.

In equine feed and supplement formulations, magnesium citrate is included to help meet the horse’s dietary magnesium requirements. Magnesium plays essential roles in neuromuscular function, enzyme activity, and energy metabolism.
