Potato Protein - Feed Ingredient

Potato protein is a concentrated protein product derived from the extraction and processing of potato juice. It is produced by coagulating the soluble proteins in the potato juice, followed by drying into a fine powder. The resulting product contains a high level of crude protein—typically around 70–80%—and is low in starch and fat.

In equine nutrition, potato protein is used as a plant-based protein source in specialized feed formulations. It is particularly valued for its high lysine content and digestibility, making it a useful supplement in diets requiring additional amino acid support.
