Rye Middlings - Feed Ingredient
Rye middlings, also known as rye mill run or rye shorts, are a byproduct of the milling process used to produce refined rye flour. They consist of fine particles of bran, germ, and a small portion of starchy endosperm.
As a feed ingredient, rye middlings are valued for their moderate energy content and fiber. They provide a source of digestible carbohydrates, protein, and some B vitamins.
