Saigon Cinnamon - Feed Ingredient
Saigon Cinnamon, also known as Vietnamese cinnamon or Cinnamomum loureiroi, is a variety of cassia cinnamon characterized by its high concentration of cinnamaldehyde, the compound responsible for its strong aroma and flavor. It is harvested from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum tree, which is dried and ground into a fine powder or used in its bark form.
In equine feed and supplements, Saigon Cinnamon may be included for its flavor-enhancing properties or as a botanical ingredient. Like other forms of cinnamon, it contains bioactive compounds with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, which have been studied in other species.
The following equine feeds, supplements and products contain Saigon Cinnamon as an ingredient.
