Sesame Seed Oil - Feed Ingredient

Sesame seed oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the Sesamum indicum plant. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, primarily oleic acid (omega-9) and linoleic acid (omega-6), as well as natural antioxidants such as sesamin, sesamolin, and vitamin E (tocopherols).

Beyond its energy value, sesame oil is sometimes included for its antioxidant content or functional effects associated with lignans like sesamin. These compounds have been studied for their potential influence on lipid metabolism and oxidative balance
