Sodium Lignosulfonate - Feed Ingredient
Sodium Lignosulfonate is a water-soluble byproduct of the sulfite pulping process used in the paper industry. It consists of sulfonated lignin fragments that give it unique binding and dispersing properties.
In equine nutrition, it is used as a feed processing aid. Its primary role is to improve the physical characteristics of pelleted feeds by enhancing pellet durability and reducing dust. This helps ensure consistent mixing and handling of the feed during manufacturing and storage.
