Sodium Molybdate - Feed Ingredient
Sodium molybdate is an inorganic compound composed of sodium and molybdenum, commonly used in animal nutrition as a supplemental source of molybdenum. It appears as a white, crystalline powder or granules, easily soluble in water. Molybdenum is a trace mineral essential for numerous enzymatic reactions within the animal body, particularly those involved in nitrogen metabolism and utilization of dietary sulfur.
In equine nutrition, sodium molybdate supplementation is generally not required due to the low molybdenum requirements of horses and adequate amounts typically available in forage and feed.
