Sweet Orange Peel - Feed Ingredient

Sweet orange peel is the dried outer rind of the fruit Citrus sinensis. It is a byproduct of orange juice and citrus processing industries and contains aromatic oils, flavonoids (such as hesperidin), fiber, and trace amounts of vitamins and minerals.

In equine feed and supplement formulations, sweet orange peel may be included for its natural flavoring properties, as a source of bioactive compounds, or to enhance palatability.
