Yucca schidigera - Feed Ingredient

Yucca schidigera is a desert plant native to the southwestern United States and Mexico, commonly used in equine feed and supplements for its saponin and polyphenol content. These bioactive compounds are believed to aid in reducing ammonia emissions from manure by binding ammonia in the digestive tract, which can help improve air quality in stabled environments.

Yucca extract is often included in feed formulations as a natural flavoring agent or digestive aid.
