Sequence analysis of the mitochondrial D-loop region throws a new light on the origin of Hungarian Nonius, Danubian Horse and Serbian Nonius. The objective of our study was to investigate the genetic structure of yet uninvestigated populations of three closely related horse breeds - the Danubian Horse, the Hungarian Nonius and the Serbian Nonius - in order to clarify their origin and genetic diversity. In this study, it was aimed to determine the statistical differences between Arabian horses and Thoroughbred horses based on X-ray images of forelimb digital bones. African Horse Sickness Virus Serotype 1 on Horse Farm, Thailand, 2020. To investigate an outbreak of African horse sickness (AHS) on a horse farm in northeastern Thailand, we used whole-genome sequencing to detect and characterize the virus.
