[Ataxia and pruritus in a pony due to a cervical vertebral fracture]. A mini-Shetland stallion was referred with bilateral pruritus localized to the anterior neck. More detailed clinical examination also revealed ataxia, and diagnostic imaging, including pre- and post-contrast computed tomography, revealed an old fracture of C2. Spinal cord compression was diagnosed. High fat intake lowers hepatic fatty acid synthesis and raises fatty acid oxidation in aerobic muscle in Shetland ponies. Use of phenytoin to treat digitalis-induced cardiac arrhythmias in a miniature Shetland pony. Controlled dose confirmation study of a 2% moxidectin equine gel against equine internal parasites in The Netherlands. The efficacy of a 2% moxidectin equine gel at a dosage rate of 0.4 mg kg-1 was evaluated in a controlled trial at Utrecht University.
