Cleaning should follow the manufacturer's directions because unsuitable products or methods may degrade protective materials. Equipment should never be drilled, cut, altered, or used beyond the manufacturer's recommended service life.
A rider should seek prompt medical assessment after a fall if they experience loss of consciousness, confusion, memory loss, unusual behavior, a severe or worsening headache, repeated vomiting, or dizziness. Urgent assessment is also needed for neck pain, weakness, numbness, difficulty walking, breathing problems, significant chest or abdominal pain, persistent swelling, or an inability to bear weight. Emergency medical services should be called immediately for an unconscious rider or a suspected head, neck, or spinal injury. Do not move the rider unless they are in immediate danger.
